when should i vote?

California voters can send in their presidential ballots early by mail on February 3, but the states official voting day has changed to Super Tuesday, March 3, 2020. By voting on this day, California joins 15 other jurisdictions that will also cast their votes on this day. Federal and State Elections in California will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. New voters must register to vote online and through the mail by Monday   October 19, 2020. The deadline to register to vote in person is November 3, 2020. If you missed the deadline to register to vote online, you

can still go to the office of county elections to conditionally register to vote and use a provisional ballot. A provisional ballot, for the voter, is exactly the same as a regular ballot. One would have to use a provisional ballot when voting officials have any doubt about your eligibility to vote or your voting registration. When the officials confirm your eligibility and registration, your vote will then properly be counted. Polling places are open from 7am to 8 p.m on Election Day. Follow this link to easily search for your closest polling place http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place/ .For security reasons, California law prohibits casting ballots over the internet.
